It’s so important that people with disabilities are counted during this census. A person with a disability may reside in a group setting, or it may be difficult for the person to respond. If you have a friend, family member, neighbor, or loved one with a disability make sure they’re aware the 2020 Census is taking place and help ensure they are appropriately counted where they live.

Disability Rights Nebraska Case Advocate, Karen Masterson, provides information about the census and how its results can benefit Nebraskans. Read Karen's blog article: https://buff.ly/2uHNQ8i

©North Platte Citizen Advocacy, Inc, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. The mission of Citizen Advocacy is to promote the protection of and advocacy for people who are devalued, usually due to a mental, physical, and/or developmental disability. Citizen Advocacy programs bring the needs and interests of an individual who is at risk of social isolation to the attention of a citizen who will respond to these needs through a freely given, usually long lasting advocacy relationship. We consult with Disability Rights Nebraska about program development, evaluation, and training for board members and staff.
