2019 Citizen Advocacy Retreat

The 2019 Citizen Advocacy Retreat will be held on Saturday, September 21, at the Nebraska Leadership Center in Aurora, Nebraska. This day will be open to Citizen Advocacy board

members, coordinators, people involved in relationships, friends and supporters. The day

will begin at 9:00 a.m. adjourn at 4:00 p.m.The retreat features Darcy Elks, who will offer attendees an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of how vulnerability impacts the lives of the people who are marginalized and for whom you recruit advocates.


The day will be divided into a series of brief presentations, small group discussions, and opportunities to reflect. Previous attendance at a Social Role Valorization or Power of Roles workshop is helpful but not required.
